Belfast, Northern Ireland – 24th May 2024, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak paid a visit to Artemis Technologies today, a pioneering clean maritime company at the forefront of technological innovation.
This visit comes on the heels of Artemis Technologies recent announcement about the next phase in their manufacturing expansion, the serial production of their 24m range of electric foiling ferries. This marks a significant milestone in the company's growth and commitment to sustainable development.
During the visit the Prime Minister toured Artemis Technologies state-of-the-art facilities, witnessing first hand the cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions that are transforming the maritime industry. He met a cross section of employees including a cohort of apprentices who are undertaking an apprenticeship in Advanced Manufacturing in conjunction with Belfast Met.
Artemis Technologies has been lauded for its advancements in electric maritime propulsion systems, which significantly reduce vessel emissions in operation and therefore contribute to a cleaner environment. The Prime Minister called Northern Ireland:
